Tired Of The Same Old Barbecue? Try This..

As summertime kicks off and friends and family get together for cook outs, we can get tired of the same old barbecue. Bring new life to the party and surprise them with something different. These can be grilled along side the usual grilling guests or you can prepare them quick and easy in the pan. What are we talking about? Fajitas

You can make steak, chicken or shrimp fajitas or a combo.


  • 1 pound organic skirt steak cut into strips
  • or
  • 1 pound organic chicken thighs skinless boneless, cut into strips
  • or
  • 1 pound organic shrimp.
  • 1 packet Simply Organic fajita seasoning (it is also gluten free) (1 packet per pound of meat)
  • 2 small organic onions sliced
  • 1 green organic bell pepper
  • 1 yellow organic bell pepper
  • 1 red organic bell pepper
  • 4 tablespoons organic olive oil
  • 1 quart size ziplock bag


  • Place your meat of choice in a quart size ziplock bag.
  • Add the olive oil and seasoning.(2 tablespoon for stovetop all 4 tablespoons for the grill)
  • Close the bag and shake to coat the meat.
  • Cut the bell peppers into strips
  • Slice the onions
  • For the grill method place the meat, onions and bell pepper in so foil and fold the foil to seal the edges and place on the grill for 325 minutes. be careful when opening as the steam is hot and can burn you .
  • In the pan saute the onions and bell peppers over medium with 2 of the tablespoons of olive oil .
  • Put the cooked onion and bell pepper in a bowl
  • Cook the meat in the pan.
  • When the meat is cooked add the onion and bell pepper back into the pan until heated.

You can serve this with tortillas .

For a paleo version and gluten free version you can serve it over cauliflower rice or just plate it and eat. You can easily find gluten free tortillas. Oh and serve it with guacamole. Everything is better with guacamole…
